One thing that I constantly have to remind my clients of as a website designer is to constantly be updating and adding content your website. A big misconception is that once you publish a website it's done, it's something that is crossed off the list and just sits there and you don't have to worry about it anymore. This couldn't be more wrong.
Websites require a lot of time and attention which is why hiring a web developer or manager may be a good fit for you. To put it simple and short, the internet is made up of spiderbots and those bots are in charge of reading and analyzing the codes of your site and then pushes it out in front of someone that may in search of what you offer when they type it in on a search engine. If your website is complacent and is not generating new information, your website will decrease in relevancy leading to lower engagement and unfortunately lower leads and sales as well. If you are experiencing this, you may want to consider following a couple of routine tips that I've provided down below to help you get your website in front of more people who would benefit from your good or service.

1 // Inventory
If you are selling a product, restocking your inventory on a consistent basis is a great way to be aiding in your relevancy on google through your website. Adding more products means theres more descriptive options available for purchase from people looking to buy your goods. Adding new products consistently is also a great way to maintain your relevancy.
2 // Update Your SEO
To be short and sweet and hopefully not sound like a nerd, I am going to briefly explain SEO. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. There are millions of things getting put on the internet every single minute. You might wonder "How will my stuff ever show up for anyone if I am competing against billions of other people each day?" I am glad you asked. The reason people are able to still find you is through SEO. Every website design platform has an SEO section and filling out the SEO prompts will help search engines like google to push your content. This is done by being extremely descriptive. 3 // Create Leads Generating Channels
Another thing you can do as you are trying to get more leads is setting up alternative channels that link to your website. For instance, starting a blog, creating social media accounts, or even having a newsletter or mailing list will help people naturally gravitate toward engaging with your website. Now, your website should be set up strategically to increase your likelihood of gaining a subscriber or making a sale - but I have another blog coming shortly on that topic as well.
If this was helpful, please consider subscribing as more blogs like this one are coming very soon and hopefully will aid you in navigating your business online.
